It is said that Demons and Angels walk among us every day, but we do not notice them. That is until Dr, Arkas Johnson was struck down by lightning in 1945 during Hurricane 9 one of Florida’s most destructive hurricanes a category 4. Dr. Arkas survived the strike only to wake up and see the world differently. It took the doctor many years to come to grips with this new reality. Demons & Angels did walk the earth and Dr. Arkas could see them for what they really were. The young doctor decided to dedicate his life to studying the dark side of this new world; He created the Institute of Lost Souls. The purpose of this Institute was to help people with Demented Souls inside them. Unfortunately this did not go as planned. One day as he tried to help a new patient, he realized he could separate the Demon Souls from the patient through rituals long performed by the native Indians and Voodoo Doctors. But something went wrong and the demons when separated never left his Institute. He continued his work on many other patients trying to figure out the right way to cast out the demons from our world. This never happened; Dr. Arkas Johnson was tortured for 10 years until he accepted his fate as the Taker of Souls. He began to embrace the Demons and celebrate their arrivals every year which he named the Festival of Souls and the Institute became known as the Demon Mansion by local town’s people. The town’s people would never get to close to the Demon Mansion for fear of losing their souls to the demons inside.
